Procurement of Two Fully Equipped Ambulances by the Ministry of Health

On the 2nd of April 2025, the Ministry of Health officially commissioned two fully equipped ambulances that are poised to significantly improve the health care services offered on Island.

The Units are valued at nearly one million dollars and were financed through the World Bank under the OECS Regional Health Project’s Emergency Management Component, which aims to improve disaster preparedness and healthcare delivery.

Minister of Health, Hon. Philip Telesford, when expressing gratitude for the new units, stated that these additions reflect the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no one is left without access to critical care when most needed.

The state-of-the-art ambulances are currently placed at the General and Princess Alice Hospitals respectively.
