The Ministry of Climate Resilience and Renewable Energy, the Executing Agency, now wishes to procure consultancy services for a Social Safeguards Officer (SSO).

The objective of the consultancy is to serve as the GPMU’s dedicated social safeguards lead, responsible for ensuring the Project’s compliance with the social provisions of the approved ESIA, the ESIA Update, the Livelihood Restoration Plan, and lender requirements throughout the civil works and exploration drilling phases. A core objective of the assignment is to strengthen in-country social safeguards capacity, in keeping with the Ministry’s medium-term institutional capacity-building objectives.

The duration of the contract is expected to be on a Part-time basis for a period of twenty-four (24) months, with an expected time commitment of 10 days per month, subject to project requirements.

The Ministry of Climate Resilience and Renewable Energy now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit Expressions of Interest indicating qualifications and experience required to provide these consultancy services.
